“The focus of my work as a visual artist has always been, quite simply, to feel. Whether it’s the mediative, contemplative mindscape paintings of sumi-e ink on rice paper begun in workshop at the Smithsonian or the vibrant, explosive beauty of current, abstract, floral works, my goal has been to evoke an emotional experience—to frame a moment.”

It’s a matter of constant curiosity and exploration.
